If you’re not familiar with the publishing world, galleys are uncorrected proofs of an upcoming release. Some titles get physical copies that are then distributed to booksellers, librarians, educators, influencers, etc. by mail to generate early hype and interest in the title. Looking for Love in All the Haunted Places did not receive those, which was a bit of a bummer. I feel like I’m running to catch up with everyone else in my pub season because of it.

*Finished copies are admittedly superior in quality and content to galleys. It’s the whole missing out on targeted outreach that I’m bummed about. Still, I’ve received some great reviews from readers with the e-galley that I’m so, so thankful for. I take nothing for granted in this industry!
